Daisy Maeer
Actress
Daisy Maeer is a British actress currently based in Hertfordshire in England. From the age of four she has performed and completed classes training in ballet consistently, reaching grade 6. Her passion for performing has also led her to take classes in modern dance and perform in showcases throughout her years training. In addition, during her youth, she discovered her passion for performing through her commitment to school plays and creative subjects.
From her enthusiasm for performing, she went on to study a Drama and English joint honours degree at Royal Holloway University of London where she took part in a range of student films and projects alongside her studies. Her studies enabled her to explore a variety of different types of performing, for example, screen acting, stage acting, Shakespeare, storytelling through dance, online/ livestream performing and immersive performance. During the pandemic in 2020, she was involved as part of the cast of RHUL’s Shakespeare society’s ‘The Massacre at Paris’ radio play as the Duchess of Guise, whilst also playing additional victim characters which required her to perform a variety of sound effects, using the emotional range of her voice to create the atmosphere and violent tone of the play. In 2021, also during the pandemic, she was involved in KCL’s zoom production of ‘From the Machine’, a Greek tragedy inspired, livestreamed performance, which used online platforms to continue to make theatre during the pandemic. In addition to this, she was also a part of multiple student film projects, fuelling her passion for screen acting.
Her time at university also led her to discover a variety of hobbies and activities, for example during her second year she joined the ninjitsu sports club where she took weekly classes training in the martial art for two years. She was able to learn some of the fundamentals of ninjitsu, learning key self defence and combat abilities. She also became a part of the cheerleading performance team for Royal Holloway sport, where she developed skills in cheerleading dance and team stunts, that she performed in the winter showcase. In her third year, she joined the ballroom and Latin dance society where she trained with a professional dance teacher and took lessons in the waltz, quickstep, jive and cha cha. This led to her compete on behalf of her university in the Varsity inter dance competition, 2023 in Blackpool.
Shortly after graduating with an undergraduate degree in drama and English, she took on the role of an immersive performer in Legoland Windsor resort’s seasonal Christmas Kingdom as one of the Christmas elves, interacting and creating the festive atmosphere of the attraction.
In 2024 she went on to study the ‘Acting for the screen’ six-month intensive course at MetFilm School in Ealing studios, expanding and further developing her screen acting skills by performing a wide range of scripts, on camera consistently. During her studies at MetFilm, she filmed multiple scenes at Garden Studios in central London, trained in stage combat and was a part of the cast of the short film project ‘The Bliss’, filmed in London.
